The Ministry of Health (MOH) of Cambodia through the Second Health Sector Support Program (HSSP2) is pleased to submit to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) this 1st Quarterly Progress Report, 2014, on implementation of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Second Regional Communicable Diseases Control Project (CDC2).

The Quarterly Progress Report 2014 details progress and achievements during early 2014 as well as discusses some constraints and challenges encountered. The Report evidences MOH commitment to improve CDC in Cambodia at local and provincial levels and through cooperation in CDC with partners in the GMS.

The MOH highly appreciates the commitment of ADB to work through the MOH planning mechanisms of the national health system. This approach and flexibility is unique for a three Country regional project of support.

The Q2PR, 2013 details progress and achievements since the ADB Mid-term review (MTR) Mission (02-06 May 2013), discusses some constraints and challenges encountered and outlines next steps.

The MOH appreciates the satisfactory rating of project progress assessed by the ADB MTR mission, the agreements reached on areas to further work on and to, retain the current scope of the project in order to reach its development objectives.

This Annual Progress Report 2012 presents progress and results of the GMS Second Regional Communicable Disease Control Project (GMS-CDC2) in Cambodia during 2012.
The Report incorporates 4th Quarter (Q4) progress and results (QPR4, Oct – Dec 2012) and outlines next steps for Year 2013, detailed in the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) 2013.
The reporting period covers implementation and results, 01 Jan 2012 – 31 Dec 2012 and also by quarter where indicated. Additionally, forward plans for 2013 are referenced, with actions agreed with an ADB Review Mission, 30 Nov – 04 Dec 2012, and a follow-up ADB Consultation Mission, 14-15 Jan 2013. Annex 1 presents the status of actions agreed with the ADB Review Mission, 30 Nov – 04 Dec 2012.

This first Annual Report 2011 presents progress and results achieved by the 2nd GMS Regional Communicable Disease Control Project (GMS-CDC2) in Cambodia, and outlines next steps for 2012. The reporting period covers from project effectiveness and start-up in Cambodia, until 31 Dec 2011.This corresponds broadly with the 2nd Semester of 2011 which spans also, project reporting quarters 3 and 4 of Year 2011 – the first year of project implementation. This Annual Report 2011 follows the content outline suggested by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for project reporting, with content organized in major sections as outlined in the Table of Contents (following, on page 7).
